What is Tenvir EM PrEP?

PrEP is an overarching term for a type of medication regimen to prevent contraction of HIV. PrEP stands for pre-exposure prophylaxis. “Pre-exposure” in this context is in reference to exposure to HIV/AIDS. Prophylaxis simply means preventing disease. In this case, it is about preventing the contraction of HIV.

The AIDS epidemic originated in Sub-Saharan Africa in the early 1900’s. In the United States, the first cases of this disease appeared in 1981. The epidemic spread rapidly, thought to be primarily transmitted through sexually active gay men and transgender women. It should be noted that the viral infection is not AIDS but HIV, which later develops into AIDS. HIV is transmitted through these bodily fluids: All seminal fluids, blood, breast milk, rectal fluids, and vaginal fluids.

HIV is contracted by unprotected sex with someone who has HIV or AIDS and sharing injection drug equipment such as needles. HIV can be contracted in many other ways but in the United States, those are the top contraction agents.

Anyone can become infected with HIV. It is not exclusive to any group of people.

36.7 million people are currently infected with HIV or AIDS, including over one million children.

More about Tenvir-em PrEP

In the United States, 1.2 million people are infected with HIV or AIDS.

The most at risk group are gay and bisexual men and their partners, and this is who primarily benefits from PrEP. PrEP is highly effective at preventing contraction of HIV if the medication is taken as prescribed.

- Daily use of PrEP reduces the risk of contracting HIV through sexual encounters by over 90%

- Daily use of PrEP reduces the risk of contraction by over 70% for people who use injectable drugs.

Different PrEP Drugs Available

The term ‘Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis’ is sometimes used in reference to other diseases such as malaria. In the majority of contexts, however, PrEP is in references to HIV/AIDS.

The most common PrEP drug is called Truvada. Truvada is manufactured by Gilead Sciences and is the only PrEP treatment that has FDA approval. Truvada has two active ingredients- Emtricitabine and Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate. These two drugs are stand-alone treatments for slowing the progression of HIV/AIDS.

There are also generic PrEP drugs available, although they are only sold online. They are not FDA approved or regulated in the United States, but are used legally and safely in India. The main generic PrEP drug is called Tenvir EM, manufactured by Cipla Pharmaceuticals.

Cipla Pharmaceuticals is highly regarded as one of the best manufacturers of generic medications. Tenvir EM has the same active ingredients as Truvada.

Tenvir EM is a much cheaper alternative to Truvada without compromising quality - currently we sell for only $1.99 a 200mg/300mg tablet.

We also sell another slightly more expensive generic PrEP similiar to Tenvir-EM called Tentide EM - manufactured by SUN. You can also buy Tentide EM from just $4.53 a tablet.

Maraviroc has been suggested as a PrEP drug. Maraviroc is sold under the brand name Selzentry and is approved to treat HIV. It is not approved as a PrEP drug. Maraviroc has been known to have lethal side effects including liver failure and severe skin reactions.

What is Tenvir EM?

Tenvir EM is a generic PrEP drug by Cipla Pharmaceuticals. It was originally created for use in India as a cheaper treatment. Due to the similarities to Truvada, Tenvir EM is often referred to as the generic form of Truvada, despite there being no official generic version of Truvada. Tenvir EM uses the same active ingredients and is available online at a much cheaper price. Tenvir EM has the same results as Truvada.

Where to get Tenvir EM PrEP

In the United States, the only way to get Tenvir EM is online. It is not approved for sales in the United States despite the proof that it is equal to Truvada. Cipla Pharmaceuticals does not sell any of its products online. Online pharmacies buy Tenvir EM directly from Cipla Pharmaceuticals and then sell them online.

Getting Tenvir EM online can be dangerous if the seller is not a pharmacy or legitimate medical organization. Make sure to use legitimate sources, such as World Trust Pharmacy.

 Tenvir EM PrEP Costs

Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis drugs are inherently expensive. Truvada can run in the thousands of dollars for one month of medication. Truvada has a monopoly on PrEP drugs in the United States, allowing them to charge high prices.

Tenvir EM ranges across the internet. The average price of Tenvir EM from a United States based pharmacy is $99 for 30 tablets. Other countries do have online pharmacies and some have cheaper prices.

However, using a United States pharmacy will be more reliable.

World Trust Pharmacy sells Tenvir EM well below the average price of $99. The average price per tablet is $3.30.

World Trust Pharmacy sells Tenvir EM for $1.99 - reduced from $3.23!

Truvada PrEP costs

We also sell brand Truvada PreP by Abbott for only $9.99 a tablet - over $40 lower than most USA pharmacies.
